Literature Text

"Forever" she quietly sings
Dancing in the darkness of a tomb
with burned out candles and withered flowers
The warmth and saftey of a womb.
With delicate fingers imprinting upon silver
of handles and locks fastened tight
She raises the lid of the coffin that keeps him
smiling with love and delight.
The world did not understand him,
They shunned him and hid him away
Yet she alone had heard his voice
which told her where he lay.
It was He; her immortal beloved
with his dark dishevelled hair
The ghost of her dreams, the source of the screams
that were more than she could bear.
She pondered the mysteries of love
as she gazed upon his solemn face
Her pulse was that of such music
as the veins of her wrist she traced.
A moment more, with pleasured pain
and crimson stained his lips and cheek
But love had caused her heart to race
and left her draped upon him; weak.
She felt him breathe beneath her
The scent of him she now could taste
She lifted her head to meet his eyes
as love and death embraced.
Death will not be an end for us.
